Description
A delightful dessert that beautifully balances sweet and salty flavors with creamy textures, juicy strawberries, and crunchy pretzels.
Ingredients
Scale
- 1 cup crushed pretzels
- 1/2 cup butter, melted
- 1/4 cup sugar
- 1 package (8 oz) cream cheese, softened
- 1 cup powdered sugar
- 1 container (8 oz) whipped topping, thawed
- 2 cups strawberries, sliced
- 1 can (20 oz) crushed pineapple, drained
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). In a mixing bowl, combine the crushed pretzels, melted butter, and sugar. Press this mixture firmly into the bottom of a 9×13 inch baking dish. Bake for 10 minutes, then allow to cool completely.
- In another bowl, use a hand mixer or stand mixer to beat the softened cream cheese and powdered sugar until smooth and creamy. Gently fold in the thawed whipped topping until well combined.
- Once the pretzel crust has cooled, layer the freshly sliced strawberries and drained crushed pineapple evenly over the crust. Spread the cream cheese mixture over the fruit layer, creating a smooth top.
- Cover the dish with plastic wrap or a lid and chill in the refrigerator for at least 4 hours, or until set. Serve cold for maximum refreshment.
Notes
Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days. The crust may soften over time but flavors will remain delicious.
