Description

A delightful lasagna combining rich seafood flavors with creamy layers of cheese, perfect for special occasions or cozy dinners.


Ingredients

  • 9 lasagna noodles
  • 2 cups ricotta cheese
  • 3 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 2 cups heavy cream
  • 1 cup Parmesan cheese, grated
  • 1 pound shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 1 pound scallops
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Fresh parsley for garnish

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C). Cook the lasagna noodles according to package instructions; drain and set aside.
  2. In a skillet, heat a little oil over medium heat and sauté the minced garlic until fragrant. Add the shrimp and scallops; cook until just opaque, around 3-4 minutes.
  3. In a bowl, combine the ricotta cheese, 1 cup of mozzarella, heavy cream, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper, mixing well to create a creamy layer.
  4. Spread a thin layer of the cheese mixture on the bottom of a baking dish. Layer 3 lasagna noodles over the mixture. Add half of the seafood mixture, followed by another layer of the cheese mixture. Repeat the layers, finishing with noodles and remaining cheese mixture on top.
  5. Sprinkle with the remaining mozzarella and Parmesan cheese, creating a cheesy crust on top.
  6. Cover the dish with foil and bake for 25 minutes. Remove the foil and bake for an additional 15 minutes until bubbly and golden.
  7. Let the lasagna stand for 10 minutes before serving, which will help it set. Garnish with fresh parsley for a pop of color and flavor.
