Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup melted butter

  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup chopped nuts or chocolate chips (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a baking pan.
  2. Mash the ripe bananas until smooth in a mixing bowl.
  3. Stir in the melted butter until well combined.
  4. Mix in the sugar, egg, and vanilla extract until smooth and creamy.
  5. Combine the flour, cocoa powder, baking soda, and salt in a separate bowl.
  6. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the banana mixture, stirring just until combined.
  7. Fold in nuts or chocolate chips if desired.
  8. Pour the batter into the prepared baking pan and smooth the top.
  9. Bake for about 20-25 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
  10. Allow to cool in the pan before cutting into squares and serving.
