Description

A delicious twist on traditional pizza, combining savory flavors of pepperoni and ground beef with healthy zucchini.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1 medium zucchini, sliced
  • 1 cup pepperoni slices
  • 1 cup marinara sauce
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Olive oil for cooking

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Grease a baking dish with olive oil.
  2. In a skillet over medium heat, add the ground beef. Cook until browned, seasoning with salt, pepper, and Italian seasoning.
  3. Spread the sliced zucchini at the bottom of the greased baking dish.
  4. Next, layer the cooked ground beef atop the zucchini, then pour the marinara sauce over the beef.
  5. Cover with pepperoni slices evenly across.
  6. Sprinkle the shredded mozzarella and grated Parmesan cheese on top.
  7. Place the baking dish in the preheated oven and bake for about 25-30 minutes.
  8. Remove the casserole from the oven, let it cool slightly before serving.

Notes

For added flavor, sauté onions or garlic with the beef. You can substitute turkey or chicken for a leaner option.
