- 1/4 cup diced red onion
- 1/4 cup chopped fresh basil
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tablespoon balsamic vinegar
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- 8 oz cream cheese, softened
- 1/2 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
- Crackers or toasted bread for serving
Instructions
- Combine diced tomatoes, red onion, basil, garlic, balsamic vinegar, salt, and pepper in a medium bowl. Mix gently and set aside.
- Beat softened cream cheese in another bowl until smooth and spreadable.
- Spread the cream cheese mixture evenly on the bottom of a serving dish.
- Pour the tomato mixture over the cream cheese layer and sprinkle the shredded mozzarella cheese on top.
- Broil for 30–60 seconds if you want the mozzarella slightly melted.
- Serve the dip with crackers or toasted bread.
Notes
For best texture, store the cream cheese base and tomato topping separately for up to 3 days, then assemble before serving. Use firm tomatoes for better flavor and prevent excess liquid.
