Description

A hearty Turkish dish featuring tender meatballs paired with crispy potato wedges, perfect for family dinners or gatherings.


Ingredients

  • 1 lb ground beef or lamb
  • 1 onion, finely chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1/4 cup parsley, chopped
  • 1 egg
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon cumin
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • 4 medium potatoes, peeled and cut into wedges
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Chopped parsley for garnish

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. Combine ground meat, onion, garlic, breadcrumbs, parsley, egg, salt, pepper, cumin, and paprika in a large bowl.
  3. Shape the mixture into meatballs and place them on a baking sheet.
  4. Toss the potato wedges with olive oil, salt, and pepper in a separate bowl.
  5. Arrange the potato wedges around the meatballs on the baking sheet.
  6. Bake for about 25-30 minutes, or until the meatballs are cooked through and the potatoes are golden and tender.
  7. Garnish with chopped parsley before serving.

Notes

Serve hot with fresh salad or yogurt sauce. Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
