Description
A deconstructed bowl featuring crispy, smashed burger patties, fresh greens, juicy tomatoes, and melty cheddar cheese.
Ingredients
Scale
- 1 lb ground beef
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 4 hamburger buns, toasted
- 1 cup shredded lettuce
- 1 cup cherry tomatoes, halved
- 1/2 cup pickles, sliced
- 1/2 cup sliced onions
- 1 cup cheddar cheese, shredded
- Ketchup and mustard for serving
Instructions
- Preheat a skillet or griddle over medium-high heat. Toast the hamburger buns until golden and set aside. Prepare the vegetables in bowls for quick assembly.
- Divide the ground beef into 4 even portions and loosely form each into a ball. Season with salt and pepper.
- Place a beef ball in the skillet and press down hard to flatten. Cook for 3-4 minutes until crispy, then flip and cook for another 3-4 minutes. Optionally, melt cheddar on the patty at the end.
- Layer a toasted bun bottom with shredded lettuce, cherry tomatoes, pickles, sliced onions, and a cooked burger patty. Top with cheddar cheese, ketchup, and mustard, then add the bun top (or serve bun halves on the side).
Notes
Serve warm for the best texture contrast and add extra pickles or hot sauce for a kick.
