Description

A delightful twist on the classic burger, combining savory beef with sweet and spicy pineapple and jalapeño flavors, elevated by hot honey.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1 jalapeño, finely chopped
  • 1 can pineapple rings
  • 4 slices cheddar cheese
  • 4 hamburger buns
  • Hot honey sauce
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Cooking oil

Instructions

  1. Preheat a skillet or grill over medium-high heat to ensure everything cooks evenly and gets that delicious char.
  2. Combine the ground beef with the finely chopped jalapeño, salt, and pepper in a mixing bowl. Mix gently to avoid overworking the meat.
  3. Form the mixture into four even burger patties. Cook the patties in the preheated skillet or grill, smashing them down with a spatula to create a crispy crust, for about 3-4 minutes on each side. Place a slice of cheddar cheese on each patty during the last moments of cooking.
  4. Grill the pineapple rings on the same skillet or grill for about 2 minutes on each side until caramelized. Assemble your burgers by placing the cheesy patties on the buns, topping each with a grilled pineapple ring, and drizzling with hot honey sauce.

Notes

For a juicier burger, use ground beef with a higher fat content (around 80% lean). Let the patties rest for a few minutes after cooking to keep them juicy.
