Description

A simple yet satisfying dish that combines the flavors of meatball subs into a hearty baked meal with biscuits, meatballs, marinara sauce, and gooey cheese.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 can of refrigerated biscuit dough
  • 1 pound of cooked meatballs
  • 1 cup marinara sauce
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a baking dish to prevent sticking.
  2. Cut the refrigerated biscuit dough into quarters and place them evenly in the prepared baking dish.
  3. In a mixing bowl, combine the cooked meatballs, marinara sauce, Italian seasoning, and a pinch of salt and pepper. Stir until everything is well coated.
  4. Pour the meatball mixture over the biscuit pieces, ensuring even coverage.
  5. Sprinkle both the mozzarella and Parmesan cheese generously over the top for that delicious cheesy finish.
  6. Place the dish in the preheated oven and bake for 25-30 minutes, or until the biscuits are completely cooked through and nicely golden brown.
  7. Once baked, let the dish cool slightly before serving, as this will enhance the flavors and make it easier to cut into portions.

Notes

For added flavor, consider using Italian-seasoned meatballs or adding chopped bell peppers. Allow cooling for easier serving.
