Description

A bold, creamy skillet dish featuring cheese tortellini in a rich Alfredo sauce with a spicy Cajun kick.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 package of cheese tortellini
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 bell pepper, diced
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 tablespoon Cajun seasoning
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Green onions for garnish

Instructions

  1. Cook the cheese tortellini according to package instructions and set aside. Drain well.
  2. In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add the chopped onion and sauté until translucent, about 3-4 minutes.
  3. Add the minced garlic and diced bell pepper, cooking until the pepper begins to soften, about 2-3 minutes.
  4. Pour in the heavy cream and bring to a gentle simmer. Add the Parmesan cheese and Cajun seasoning, stirring until the cheese melts and the sauce becomes creamy.
  5. Add the cooked tortellini to the skillet, mixing well to coat. Season with salt and pepper to taste. Cook for an additional 2-3 minutes until heated through and the sauce thickens slightly.
  6. Garnish with chopped green onions before serving.

Notes

For extra depth, sauté smoked sausage or cooked bacon before the veggies. For variations, consider adding chicken, shrimp, or more vegetables.
