Description

A quick and flavorful pasta dish with tender chicken, garlic, and a buttery lemon sauce that pairs beautifully with fettuccine or spaghetti.


Ingredients

  • 8 oz pasta (fettuccine or spaghetti)
  • 2 chicken breasts, sliced
  • 3 tbsp butter
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 lemon (juiced and zested)
  • 1/2 cup chicken broth
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Parmesan cheese, for serving
  • Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Cook the pasta according to package instructions in well-salted water until al dente. Drain and set aside, reserving a small cup of pasta cooking water in case you need to thin the sauce.
  2. In a large skillet over medium heat, melt the butter. Add the sliced chicken, season with salt and pepper, and cook until browned and cooked through, about 5–7 minutes depending on thickness.
  3. Stir in the minced garlic and cook for an additional minute until fragrant. Add the lemon juice, lemon zest, and chicken broth. Cook for another 2–3 minutes, allowing the sauce to reduce slightly.
  4. Toss the cooked pasta in the skillet with the chicken and sauce until well combined. If the sauce seems thick, add a splash of reserved pasta water to loosen it. Serve hot, topped with Parmesan cheese and fresh parsley.

Notes

For a richer sauce, stir in a tablespoon of cold butter off heat. Adjust lemon to taste for desired tanginess.
