Description
A comforting dish featuring pillowy gnocchi, savory beef sausage, and creamy Boursin with bright, roasted broccoli.
Ingredients
Scale
- 1 package gnocchi
- 1 lb beef sausage
- 1 package Boursin cheese
- 2 cups broccoli florets
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C). Toss the broccoli florets with olive oil, salt, and pepper on a baking sheet in a single layer. Slide the sheet into the oven and roast for about 15-20 minutes, until the broccoli is tender and slightly charred at the tips.
- Heat a large skillet over medium heat. Remove sausage from casings if needed and add to the skillet. Cook the beef sausage, breaking it up with a spatula, until browned and fully cooked through, about 6-8 minutes.
- Add the gnocchi to the skillet with the cooked sausage and follow package directions—usually cook in a bit of oil or water until the gnocchi float and turn tender (about 2-4 minutes). Reduce heat to low and stir in the Boursin cheese. Mix until the cheese melts and creates a creamy sauce that coats the gnocchi and sausage.
- Plate the gnocchi and sausage mixture and top or serve alongside the roasted broccoli. Season with extra salt and pepper if needed.
Notes
For added freshness, garnish with a drizzle of olive oil or a sprinkle of chopped parsley before serving.
