Description

A cozy, one-pan dish combining ground beef, garlic, and vegetables for a quick weeknight meal.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 2 cups cooked rice
  • 1 tablespoon garlic, minced
  • 1 onion, diced
  • 2 cups beef broth
  • 1 cup frozen peas and carrots
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil

Instructions

  1. Heat the olive oil in a skillet over medium heat until it shimmers.
  2. Add the diced onion and minced garlic to the skillet and sauté until softened, about 2-3 minutes.
  3. Incorporate the ground beef into the skillet and cook until browned.
  4. Stir in the cooked rice, beef broth, frozen peas and carrots, and soy sauce.
  5. Season the mixture with salt and pepper to taste.
  6. Stir everything well and let it simmer for about 5-10 minutes.
  7. Serve hot, garnished with fresh herbs if desired.

Notes

For variations, try using chicken or tofu instead of beef, and use beef broth to cook the rice for extra flavor.
