Description

Golden, flaky twists filled with salty feta, creamy ricotta, and fresh spinach, perfect for snacks or appetizers.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 sheet of puff pastry, thawed
  • 2 cups fresh spinach, chopped
  • 1 cup feta cheese, crumbled
  • 1/2 cup ricotta cheese
  • 1 egg, beaten
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • Sesame seeds (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Heat olive oil in a pan over medium heat, add spinach, and sauté until wilted, about 2–3 minutes; let cool.
  3. Combine drained spinach, feta, ricotta, and half of the beaten egg in a bowl. Add salt and pepper to taste.
  4. Roll out puff pastry and cut it into strips about 1 to 1.5 inches wide.
  5. Place a spoonful of filling along each strip’s center, fold, and twist to create spirals.
  6. Brush each twist with the remaining egg and sprinkle with sesame seeds if desired.
  7. Bake for 15–20 minutes until golden brown and puffed.
  8. Let cool slightly before serving warm.

Notes

These twists can be paired with dips like tzatziki, marinara, or lemon yogurt. Best served warm.
