Description

A wonderfully simple yet flavorful dish that combines seafood and pasta in a rich garlic butter sauce.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 8 ounces spaghetti or linguine
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 12 ounces shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional)
  • 2 tablespoons fresh parsley, chopped
  • Grated Parmesan cheese for serving

Instructions

  1. Cook the spaghetti or linguine according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
  2. Melt the butter in a large skillet over medium heat.
  3. Add the minced garlic to the skillet and cook for about 30 seconds until fragrant.
  4. Add the shrimp to the skillet and season with salt, pepper, and red pepper flakes. Cook until the shrimp turn pink, about 2-3 minutes on each side.
  5. Toss the cooked pasta into the skillet and mix well to coat with the garlic butter sauce.
  6. Remove from heat, stir in the fresh parsley, and serve with freshly grated Parmesan cheese on top.

Notes

For a creamier version, add a splash of heavy cream or cream cheese. You can also substitute shrimp with scallops or chicken.
