Description

Bring the warm flavors of gingerbread into a delightful bite-sized chocolate treat with these truffles, perfect for treats or gifts.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 cup crushed gingerbread cookies
  • 1/2 cup cream cheese, softened
  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 1/4 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1 teaspoon ground ginger
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground nutmeg
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 cup chocolate chips (for coating)
  • Sprinkles or crushed nuts (for garnish)

Instructions

  1. In a mixing bowl, combine crushed gingerbread cookies and softened cream cheese. Mix until blended into a dough-like paste.
  2. Add powdered sugar, cocoa powder, ginger, cinnamon, nutmeg, and vanilla. Mix until smooth.
  3. Chill the mixture in the refrigerator for 30 minutes to firm up.
  4. Roll the mixture into small balls (about 1 inch) and place on a parchment-lined baking sheet.
  5. Melt chocolate chips in the microwave or double boiler until smooth. Dip each truffle in chocolate and sprinkle with toppings if desired.
  6. Allow the chocolate to set at room temperature or in the fridge before serving.

Notes

Store truffles in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 2 weeks or freeze for 3 months. Use room-temperature cream cheese for smoother mixing.
