Description
A quick and bright supper that combines crispy beef with a sweet-tangy orange sauce for a delicious weeknight meal.

- 1 lb beef sirloin, sliced thinly
- 1/4 cup cornstarch
- 2 tbsp vegetable oil
- 1/2 cup orange juice
- 1/4 cup soy sauce
- 1/4 cup sugar
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tsp ginger, minced
- 1 orange, zested
- 1 tbsp rice vinegar
- 1 green onion, chopped
- Sesame seeds (optional) for garnish
Instructions
- Toss the thin beef slices with the cornstarch until coated and set aside.
- Heat vegetable oil in a large pan over medium-high heat.
- Add the beef in batches to the hot oil and fry until golden and crispy, then drain on paper towels.
- In the same pan, combine orange juice, soy sauce, sugar, garlic, ginger, orange zest, and rice vinegar, then simmer until the sauce thickens.
- Return beef to the pan and quickly toss in the sauce to coat.
- Serve immediately, garnished with green onion and sesame seeds if desired.
Notes
Serve over steamed jasmine rice or with a side of steamed broccoli for a complete meal. Store leftovers in an airtight container for up to 3–4 days.
