Description
A quick and cozy weeknight meal featuring soft potato gnocchi in a rich cream sauce with smoky salmon and fresh spinach.
Ingredients
Scale
- 400g gnocchi
- 200g smoked salmon, chopped
- 200ml heavy cream
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 cup spinach, fresh
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Parmesan cheese, for serving
Instructions
- Cook the gnocchi according to package instructions. Drain well and set aside. Chop the smoked salmon and mince the garlic. Rinse the spinach and pat dry.
- Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add the minced garlic and sauté for 30–60 seconds until fragrant. Watch closely so the garlic does not burn.
- Pour the heavy cream into the skillet and bring it to a gentle simmer. Add the chopped smoked salmon and the fresh spinach. Cook for 2–3 minutes, stirring, until the spinach wilts and the salmon warms through.
- Add the cooked gnocchi to the skillet and stir gently to coat. Season with salt and pepper to taste. Serve hot and top each plate with grated Parmesan cheese.
Notes
Serve immediately for best texture. Pair with a crisp salad or wine like Sauvignon Blanc.
