Description

A comforting dish that combines the classic flavors of cheeseburgers with pasta for a hearty and delicious meal.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 8 ounces pasta (like penne or rotini)
  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 cup beef broth
  • 1 can (15 ounces) diced tomatoes
  • 1 tablespoon ketchup
  • 1 tablespoon mustard
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Fresh parsley for garnish (optional)

Instructions

  1. Cook the pasta according to the package instructions, ensuring you add plenty of salt to the boiling water for flavor. Once cooked, drain the pasta and set it aside.
  2. In a large skillet over medium heat, add the ground beef. Cook it until browned and no longer pink, breaking it apart with a spatula as it cooks, about 5-7 minutes.
  3. Add the chopped onion and minced garlic to the skillet. Sauté for about 3-4 minutes, until the onions are translucent and fragrant.
  4. Stir in the beef broth, diced tomatoes (with their juices), ketchup, mustard, and season with salt and pepper to taste. Bring the mixture to a simmer, allowing the flavors to meld, about 5 minutes.
  5. Add the cooked pasta to the skillet, gently stirring to combine everything well. Allow the pasta to absorb the delicious sauce.
  6. Sprinkle the shredded cheddar cheese over the top of the pasta. Cover the skillet for a few minutes to let the cheese melt beautifully.
  7. If desired, garnish with fresh parsley before serving. Serve hot for a comforting meal that tastes just like a cheeseburger!

Notes

For extra flavor, consider adding Worcestershire sauce or using lean ground turkey. Customize with different cheeses or toppings as desired.
