Description

A cozy casserole blending classic cheeseburger flavors with crispy fries, perfect for family dinners.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 2 cups frozen French fries
  • 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1 cup ketchup
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9×13-inch baking dish.
  2. Thaw the frozen fries on the counter for 5-10 minutes.
  3. In a skillet, brown the ground beef and chopped onion over medium heat for 7-10 minutes, then drain excess fat.
  4. In a bowl, combine the cooked beef and onion with milk, ketchup, garlic powder, salt, and black pepper.
  5. Layer half of the fries in the baking dish, followed by half of the beef mixture and half of the cheddar cheese. Repeat with remaining ingredients.
  6. Cover with foil and bake for 30 minutes, then uncover and bake for an additional 10 minutes until bubbly and golden.
  7. Let cool for 5-10 minutes before serving.

Notes

For variations, consider adding cooked bacon, using ranch dressing, or substituting with cauliflower for a lower-carb option.
