- 1 pound ground beef
- 1 onion, chopped
- 2 cups frozen French fries
- 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
- 1 cup milk
- 1 cup ketchup
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9×13-inch baking dish.
- Thaw the frozen fries on the counter for 5-10 minutes.
- In a skillet, brown the ground beef and chopped onion over medium heat for 7-10 minutes, then drain excess fat.
- In a bowl, combine the cooked beef and onion with milk, ketchup, garlic powder, salt, and black pepper.
- Layer half of the fries in the baking dish, followed by half of the beef mixture and half of the cheddar cheese. Repeat with remaining ingredients.
- Cover with foil and bake for 30 minutes, then uncover and bake for an additional 10 minutes until bubbly and golden.
- Let cool for 5-10 minutes before serving.
Notes
For variations, consider adding cooked bacon, using ranch dressing, or substituting with cauliflower for a lower-carb option.
