Description
A cozy one-pan dinner featuring browned beef, fragrant garlic, tender peppers, and fluffy rice soaked in a savory broth.
Ingredients
Scale
- 1 pound ground beef
- 2 cups cooked rice
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 onion, chopped
- 1 bell pepper, diced
- 2 cups beef broth
- 2 tablespoons soy sauce
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 2 tablespoons oil
- Chopped green onions for garnish
Instructions
- Heat oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Gather and prep the onion, bell pepper, garlic, and cooked rice so everything is ready.
- Add the ground beef to the hot skillet and break it up with a spoon. Cook the beef until it is browned and no longer pink, stirring occasionally.
- Add the onion, bell pepper, and garlic to the skillet with the beef. Cook until the vegetables are softened and the garlic is fragrant, about 3–4 minutes. Stir in the cooked rice, beef broth, and soy sauce. Season with salt and pepper. Cook, stirring occasionally, until heated through and the rice absorbs some of the broth, about 5–7 minutes.
- Taste and adjust seasoning. Garnish with chopped green onions before serving. Serve hot straight from the skillet.
Notes
For best texture, avoid over-stirring the rice once added; fold gently to keep grains intact.
