A delicious fusion of classic apple fritters and waffle donuts, crispy on the outside and fluffy on the inside, perfect for breakfast or dessert.
Ingredients

- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 tablespoon baking powder
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon cinnamon
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 2 large eggs
- 1 cup milk
- 1/4 cup unsalted butter, melted
- 1 apple, peeled and diced
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- Vegetable oil for frying
- Optional: powdered sugar for dusting
Instructions
- In a large bowl, combine the flour, baking powder, salt, cinnamon, and sugar. Mix well.
- In another bowl, whisk the eggs, milk, melted butter, and vanilla extract until smooth.
- Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients and mix until just combined. Fold in the diced apple.
- Preheat a waffle iron and lightly grease it. Pour in the batter and cook until golden brown.
- Heat vegetable oil in a deep pan. Fry each waffle until crispy on both sides and drain on paper towels.
- Dust with powdered sugar if desired, then serve warm.
Notes
Serve with a scoop of vanilla ice cream or drizzle with caramel sauce for an extra treat. Best enjoyed fresh but can be stored at room temperature for up to 2 days.
