Description
Crisp, golden, and lightly seasoned air-fried potato chips that are easy to make and perfect for snacking.
Ingredients
Scale
- 2 large potatoes
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon paprika
- Salt to taste
- Pepper to taste
Instructions
- Wash the potatoes well and slice them into very thin chips. Use a mandoline or a sharp knife for even thickness. Pat the slices dry with a clean towel to remove surface moisture.
- Place the potato slices in a large bowl. Add the olive oil, garlic powder, paprika, a pinch of salt, and a grind of black pepper. Toss the slices gently until each piece has a light, even coating of oil and seasonings.
- Preheat the air fryer to 375°F (190°C). Arrange the seasoned potato slices in a single layer in the air fryer basket. Avoid overlapping so air can circulate. Cook for about 15–20 minutes, shaking or turning the chips halfway through for even browning.
- Remove the chips when they are crisp and golden. Sprinkle a little extra salt if needed while they are hot so it sticks. Let them cool for a minute or two—the texture will firm up as they cool. Serve warm.
Notes
These chips are best served fresh but can be stored in an airtight container for up to 1–2 days. For re-crisping, return them to the air fryer at 325°F for 2–4 minutes.
