Description
A festive twist on classic deviled eggs shaped like Christmas trees, perfect for holiday gatherings.
Ingredients
Scale
- 6 large eggs
- 3 tablespoons mayonnaise
- 1 teaspoon Dijon mustard
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Green food coloring (optional)
- Chopped chives (for garnish)
- Cherry tomatoes (for decoration)
Instructions
- Hard boil the eggs by placing them in a pot, covering with water, and boiling for about 10 minutes.
- Cool the eggs in an ice bath, then peel them.
- Slice the eggs in half lengthwise and remove the yolks. In a bowl, mash the yolks with mayonnaise, mustard, salt, and pepper until creamy. If desired, add green food coloring to the mixture for that festive touch.
- Pipe or spoon the yolk mixture back into the egg white halves. Arrange the filled eggs in a tree shape on a platter. Use chopped chives as ‘tree decorations’ and cherry tomatoes as ornaments. Serve and enjoy!
Notes
Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 2 days. For best results, prepare just enough for your gathering.
